by Kevin Delaney

Thanks to everyone who participated in our live Video Chat with Bill Farmer! If you missed it, don’t worry — you can watch the replay (42 minutes):

It’s not every day that we get to chat with a legend — let alone a Disney Legend!

Bill Farmer - Disney voiceover artistBill is not only one of the busiest voice actors in Hollywood, he’s by far the goofiest!

Bill’s voice is heard constantly in all kinds of projects. For the past 24 years, he’s played the iconic and much-loved character of Goofy in a staggering number of Disney productions.

Bill starred in A Goofy Movie and its sequel, An Extremely Goofy Movie. You can hear him currently on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse airing on the Disney Channel.

Bill Farmer, voice of Goofy and Pluto, inducted as a Disney LegendIn 2009, Bill was honored as a Disney Legend, inducted among many other luminaries whose contributions have brought the magic to life for generations.

Our chat covered a lot of territory — from Bill’s very first recording session as Goofy, to his advice to up-and-coming VO artists.

Bill also talked about his work voicing other well-known cartoon characters, such as Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam and Foghorn Leghorn in the movie Space Jam.

And — once and for all — Bill addresses the age old controversy: Is Goofy a dog? A man?

It’s a session you don’t want to miss!

Kevin,

Thank you very much for offering the FREE Bill Farmer video chat for those of us who could not watch the live feed. It was much more interesting than I expected. Extremely informative, helpful and encouraging. I am auditioning like crazy and it’s nice to know I am not the only one who is not booking as much work as I would like. The Gary Owen story is incredible. My best to you and Bill. He is an extraordinary talent!

God Bless,

Tom
