When you hear "boy voices" in cartoons,
games & commercials, much of
the time these characters are performed by women.
Join me for this 3-week
journey into the art of the boy voice — a series of sessions exclusively for
women, taught by an actual former little boy!
In
this intensive & highly interactive experience, you'll work with
real audition scripts from animation & other VO projects.
We'll delve into "boy psychology" — I'll share my special insights that
have helped many actresses master the young boy attitude... and book VO work
voicing young male characters!
Whenever possible, producers often prefer to work with experienced & reliable adult actors rather than
kids.
It can be very difficult for a man to sound convincingly like a boy or
a young adolescent. Once our voices change, that's it!
There's usually no going back.
Women (who typically
don't experience the same kind of radical vocal shift that guys do) are
often in the perfect position to play young male characters.
A woman's voice much more
naturally "fits" the ideal range.
What needs to be developed is
the acting — particularly the boyish personality & perspective.
"In
this online course, I'll take you inside the head of a boy — your
characters will
gain a new dimension of depth & authenticity, and you'll understand
them on a whole new level... from the
inside out!"
